IT was over before the journey had even taken its first breath, its first step...
Just like that, memories reverted, bodies changed, the appearance of someone
missing. it was like peering through a hole in time gazing at the past from a
space in the future.
As I stared, looking up the once long and narrow path that we called life, I couldn't help but notice you, haunted by the secretive aura of a hidden past. Your face yearning to yell the pain and suffering, your body wrenching aimlessly towards me. It was then I realized you couldn't see me, yet I could see you. Putting it towards the reality of nature, blindingly peering into the past was as useful as gazing up at the stars and trying to foretell an uncertain future. That day changed me, it changed you, and it changed everyone we knew. For seconds later, I was no more and yet you lived on.
Daunting darkness filled the void encompassing the domain of my last moments drawing breath containing purpose. On your hands and knees you lay, staring at what I had become. Close friends restraining you, holding you back from discovering
the inevitable death on a new scale, far from the norm of mortality. Restraint came hard for our friends, but u had given up by then, knowing the truth. Walking away, you looked one last time at my frozen corpse. Unspoken words wandered like ghosts through your mind.
"Goodbye, my love. Never forget, and neither shall I" you whispered weeping through flooding tears. Turning away, you compose yourself to walk away and start anew, our friends following close behind you. With normality restored as you enter the way to home, you think to yourself, things can only get better from here, can't they? Appearances can be deceiving, and deception was made from said appearances. Unfortunate, home had developed its own deception, and what couldn't be distinguished easily warned you about signs for danger. Ignoring such threats, you go back to what was your life beforehand.
My arrival is late, something has gone wrong...in the finale that ensued I have
somehow become one with my nemesis, his memories plaguing my thoughts.
Redemption echo's through the shallow halls. I remember the pain, the suffering, the torment of my friends, and most of all, my one love, how could I have forsaken her?! I must find her, before it is too late. The damage sewn, forgiveness now a far off dream, scattered like a broken vow to the wind. Yet I could do nothing, I had become imprisoned within myself, unable to speak, move, breath...only think. Summoning my full power, I was able to free myself from that wretched tomb. My body had become rusty, my full form yet to return. Despite this set back, I made haste towards the one place I knew that she would be...home.
Nothing had changed. Nothing. It was like gazing into the past, immediately telling me of the danger my loved one had decided to obliviously disregard. Just like that, memories reverted, bodies changed, the appearance of someone missing... The end at the beginning. What was, never was.
What will...only more devastating.
Even I had changed, to much bewilderment. It was like taking the past, the future, and combining the two, no matter how severe the consequence. Unveiling the truth,
the trickery exposed as a con. Lady luck had smiled great fortune at me, as I found myself staring at you, haunted by the secretive aura of a hidden past. But, unto that previous encounter, it was I that made way for you. This time, I was there for you. This time, you didn't forget. Neither did I. As I saw you, your face yearning to yell the pain and suffering, your body wrenching aimlessly towards me, I began to wonder, why had nothing changed, yet everything differed? How did this happen? Was it because of 'him'? Was I still encased in my frozen crypt?
Another course set, uncertain futures lay before us
But this time, we'll do it...
Together.
